Art Openings at Gallery at 249 A and FP3

The 249 A Street Artists Cooperative presents Oil and Water, Paintings and Drawings, by Dan Osterman and Bruce Rogovin on exhibit July 9th through August 22nd. Join the artists at the opening reception this Thursday, July 9th from 6pm to 8pm at Gallery at 249 A.

The FP3 Gallery at 346 Congress Street presents Informed Choices, Paintings by Michael Bourque. The opening reception will take place July 14, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm.

Informed Choices is a curated collection of Michael Bourque’s paintings in the mark making style of his art. Mark making illustrates the power of each individual brushstroke and is the basis of his unique style. Repetition makes each brushstroke even more powerful while enhanced with the use of color, which is layered. Flashes of color peek through the pattern to add to the visual interest and colors are made brighter by juxtaposition to contrasting colors while strong shapes are made stronger with the heavy application of paint. The effect is to invigorate the entire work, and to create rich surface textures. The entire methodology reflects informed choices.

Reserved Channel Redevelopment: State, City, Developer & Public

The Reserved Channel Development is a 42 acre mixed use development on over 38 acres of Massport leased land and 3.8 acres owned by Pappas and Oxford Properties. 

On July 7th, there will be a developer hosted Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) & Public MEPA Draft Environmental Impact Report (DEIR) meeting for Phase 1 of the Master Plan at 6pm.

DEIR public comments are due July 10th to MEPA analyst Alex Strysky

Reserved Channel Development - Block A1 and A2- draft planned development area (PDA) was submitted to the Boston Planning Department on June 15th The proposed PDA at 370 West First will redevelop a portion of the project site into a mixed-use residential project containing approximately 312,000 square feet of gross floor area, including approximately 287 residential units, approximately 10,000 square feet of ground level active uses, and indoor and outdoor amenity space.

Boston Planning CAC & Public Meetings will be scheduled.

Reserved Channel Development Block A1 & A2 public comment deadline is August 3rd.
