Bill Linehan at Barlow's Thursday

via Diane Keliher:

--
Committee to Re- elect City Councilor Bill Linehan is hosting a fundraiser at Barlow's at 241 A St, on this Thursday, June 27th from 5:30-7:30. Bill needs our support in this upcoming election

Please vote!

The voter turnout for today's special election has been abysmal. It is currently almost half what it was at this time in the senate special election of Coakley/Brown in Boston.

Please make time to vote today and reminder people you know who live in Massachusetts.

Polls are open until 8pm and the lines will be short!

Balto, a folk/americana band from Portland, Oregon will be playing at Wormwood Park for the enjoyment of anyone who wants to come and enjoy an evening outside in the Fort Point neighborhood. Music will start around 7:00.

We'll have some grills going so bring food you want to grill. We'll have buckets of ice to keep your drinks cold and will be providing free wine, beer, and snacks while supplies last.

There's a $5 suggested donation. Money goes to the band.

If it rains, we will move the event inside to a nearby condo.

--
The members of the Boston Fire Museum will conduct their annual cookout on Friday evening, June 7. As in the past, Farnsworth St., adjacent to the museum, will be closed to all traffic from about 2 PM to 8 PM. Access to and from the remaining section of Farnsworth St. will be available via the alleys off Sleeper St. and Thomson Pl. Pedestrians will be able to walk on the closed section of Farnsworth St. Members of the museum volunteer staff will be delivering notices of the road closure to all businesses on Farnsworth St. The museum appreciates the cooperation of our neighbors in the area.
