The 249 A Street Artists Cooperative presents Oil and Water, Paintings and Drawings, by Dan Osterman and Bruce Rogovin on exhibit July 9th through August 22nd. Join the artists at the opening reception this Thursday, July 9th from 6pm to 8pm at Gallery at 249 A.

The FP3 Gallery at 346 Congress Street presents Informed Choices, Paintings by Michael Bourque. The opening reception will take place July 14, 2026 from 5pm to 7pm. 

Michael Bourque

Informed Choices is a curated collection of Michael Bourque’s paintings in the mark making style of his art. Mark making illustrates the power of each individual brushstroke and is the basis of his unique style. Repetition makes each brushstroke even more powerful while enhanced with the use of color, which is layered. Flashes of color peek through the pattern to add to the visual interest and colors are made brighter by juxtaposition to contrasting colors while strong shapes are made stronger with the heavy application of paint. The effect is to invigorate the entire work, and to create rich surface textures. The entire methodology reflects informed choices.

Growing up in and around a small industrial city that was surrounded by rural landscapes, mixed media artists Josh Falk has always been influenced by the juxtaposition of these two worlds and the often subtle ways in which they overlap. As if the city itself was a living terrarium, Falk would learn and respect the ways in which two opposites could naturally coexist and complement one another throughout his life. More details. 

The FPAC Gallery presents Big Red & Shiny show's Teenaged, a group exhibition of thirteen artists in celebration of the independent contemporary art magazine's thirteen years of publication.  In Teenaged, BR&S features artists who have contributed to the diversity of art making in some way, be it their own writing, or profiles, interviews, or reviews of their visual work. This sampling of art making in Boston demonstrates the vitality of contemporary art practices in the city. The show runs through April 22, 2017.

Fort Point Shines continues into the summer with Weed, Wine and Vines on Tuesday, June 14th from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm at Wormwood Park (Wormwood & A Streets). Save the dates of July 5th and July 26th for July Weed, Wine & Vines events (same time and location). Tools, gloves and wine provided. 

TCR Development's residential condominiums at 10 Farnsworth Street is scheduled to begin construction by the end of June. Residential abutters are invited to attend a pre-construction meeting with Sea-Dar Construction this Wednesday, June 15th at 6 pm at FP3 (346 Congress St.).

The FPAC Gallery kicks off the celebration of Fort Point Spring Open Studios with the FPAC Group Show from 6 pm - 8 pm. Get a preview of work by artists opening their studios June 17 - June 19th. Afterwards stroll over to the  FP3 Gallery to view Wendy Shaprio's Sustainable exhibition from 7 pm - 9 pm. Her eco-friendly works layer horizons, clouds and soft sea storms.

Making Waves is a series of paintings inspired by the mesmeric quality of wave-forms.
