Special Neighborhood Blood Drive April 9th

Our neighbor, Morrison Mahoney LLP, will host a special Blood Drive for the neighborhood on Thursday, April 9, 2026. The drive commemorates their April 5, 2013 drive where the donated blood was typed, tested and on the shelves at MGH on April 15, 2013, to treat victims of the Boston Marathon. That experience demonstrates the importance of a constant, reliable and safe blood supply.

If you are able to donate blood, please make an appointment for:

Thursday, April 9, 2026
The Bloodmobile
in front of 268 Summer Street
8:30am – 2:00pm (last appointment is at 2pm)
Schedule your blood donation appointment today!
First time and repeat donors are welcomed and celebrated.

Blood is required every day. Please consider these facts:

♥1/3 of us will require a blood transfusion in our lifetime;
♥3 lives can be saved by one donation; and
♥Every 2 seconds, someone in the United States requires blood.

Let’s just make this the best blood drive yet.  Thank you for your donation!

BPD C-6 Community Meeting

Boston Police District C-6 is holding a community forum to discuss current crime trends to coordinate planning and strategic initiatives on:

Monday, April 27, 2026

6:30 p.m. - 8 p.m.

383 Dorchester Ave (formerly Grand Ten)

What would you like to discuss? Take the survey

WHAT IS COMPSTAT? COMPSTAT has traditionally been an internal meeting where Boston Police Department leaders discuss current crime trends and patterns in all of the City’s districts and coordinate our planning to strategically address them. In 2023 we began incorporating the community as a key partner in these important efforts. This process ensures the BPD will continue to improve our work to address the continually changing needs of the communities we serve. Your participation will allow BPD the chance to review critical information and to explain what we do and why, and it is also a chance for you to help us better understand the issues and resources that are most important to you and the members of your community.

FOR MORE INFO PLEASE CONTACT THE C-6 COMMUNITY SERVICE OFFICE AT (617) 343-4747.
