Let's Talk Sidewalks on A Street
The Fort Point neighborhood has long talked about better and wider sidewalks on A Street between Melcher and Congress Streets. There are many projects touching this part of the neighborhood, including developer-funded work near Melcher Street; a Public Works project to address the southern stairs; and the Public Works project to reconstruct Congress Street. At the meeting, we'll discuss ways to connect all of these and meet your goals for A Street's sidewalks.

September 25: Music in Martin's Park from 3pm - 4:30pm is taking place around the slides. Fort Point based Boston Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra will present a free concert for kids of all ages. Bring a picnic, a blanked or beach chair and enjoy.

People who live in, work in, and visit the Fort Point neighborhood will join forces with architects, landscape architects, and other designers to develop proposals for future waterfront designs along the Fort Point Channel. Want to get rid of those personal documents taking up unwanted space in your home? Paper shredding is available up to 10 copy paper size boxes or containers.
Keep in mind that latex and acrylic paint are NOT hazardous. Just let the paint dry out in the can and put it out on your trash day. View list of accepted items and restricted items.
You will need to show proof of Boston residency. Waste can only be dropped off by car. If you have any questions about the drop-off, please contact BOS:311.

Electronic Recycling, Paper Shredding & Hazardous Waste Drop Off This Saturday
Acceptable electronic materials are: computers, monitors, televisions, LCD panels, printers, other computer related equipment, stereos, cell and other phones, power supplies, electronic games, VCRs, circuit boards, microwaves, and other household electronic devices. CDs and CD cases. Electronic materials NOT accepted are: Air conditioners, dehumidifiers, refrigerators, and white goods such as washers, dryers, and stoves. For disposal of the italicized items, call (617) 635-4500 to arrange a special pickup. You may put the other items curbside for regular trash pickup
Boston residents can also safely dispose of household hazardous waste from 9 am - 2 pm at UMass Boston Parking Lot D in Dorchester. Residents may bring up to 50 pounds of products labeled toxic, flammable, reactive, corrosive, or poisonous, such as: oil-based paint, motor oil, pesticides, solvents, glues, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners, weed killers, photo chemicals, pool chemicals, tires, propane tanks, car batteries, and used motor oil.No Latex/Acrylic paint allowed (it's not hazardous and can be disposed of with regular trash.)
Boston residents must show proof of residency.
