Upcoming Neighborhood Happenings

October 26: 776 Summer St Phase 1 Public Meeting at 6pm. The Phase 1 Project will be located on 8.4 acres within the approximately 15.2 acre includes the rehabilitation Edison Turbine Halls 1& 2 (retail and civic uses) and Turbine Hall 3 (r&d /office) and the construction of the buildings on Blocks D and F (both r&d /office) plus waterfront open space.

October 27: 7 Channel Center St: Public Meeting at 6pm for proposed redevelopment of a 3 story historic building to a 9 story Life Sciences lab building. View Notice of Project Change and amendment to Channel Center Planned Development Area 53.

October 29: LL Bean is celebrating Fall with pumpkin painting, s'mores, cornhole, apple cider, and more from 11am - 4pm at 56 Seaport Blvd. 

October 31: “Trick or Treat along East and West Broadway” from 4-6 p.m. Look for orange and black posters inviting the children to stop by for a treat.  If you are starting on West Broadway going toward East Broadway, walk on the odd-numbered (southern) side of the street. If you are starting on East Broadway heading to West Broadway, walk on the even-numbered (northern) side of the street. Hosted by the South Boston Chamber of Commerce and the South Boston NDC. 

November 2: 2nd Public Meeting on Proposed Zoning Amendment of Cannabis Establishments at 6pm. View August meeting recording and presentation plus amended text. 

November 2: MassDOT Revised Bus Network Public Meeting at 6pm. Register.

November 2: Nautilus Restaurant (300 Pier 4 Blvd) Abutters Meeting at 7pm via Zoom*. Requesting to amend entertainment license to include live entertainment (instrumental/vocalist, tvs, and indoor dj). November 3: Seaport Square Impact Advisory Group Public Meeting at 6pm. View Notice of Project Change for changes in uses, particularly residential to labs, along with the introduction of biosafety 3 labs intermingled with housing, a reduction in green park space important for climate resiliency to prevent or manage flooding and heat island impacts.

November 8: State Election (includes 4 ballot questions). Vote at District Hall from 7am - 8pm. Early voting occurs 10/22 - 11/4. 

November 16: Congress Street Reconstruction Public Meeting at 6:30pm Share details and answer questions about the final design for Congress Street between Sleeper Street and Boston Wharf Road. 

November 19: Hull LifeSaving Museum's Boston Rowing Center hosts The “Icebreaker”- The 30th annual Northeast Regional Youth Open-Water Rowing Championships from 8:30 am - 4 pm. The Boston Rowing Center is located at the Barking Crab Marina.
