A Street Improvements Mean Parking Restrictions Start Saturday

Updated 9/19/23: Overnight restriping of A Street from W 2nd to Necco with parking restrictions from 7pm to 6pm.

Vicinity Energy is wrapping up its utility work on A Street, the final phase will begin this Saturday, August 19th. It will comprise of milling the existing asphalt and repaving the street curb to curb, from West 2nd Street to Necco Street. 

Once the re-surfacing is complete A Street will be re-striped by the City using the A Street Better Bike Lanes | Boston.gov feedback gathered from the neighborhood last year.

Parking Restrictions

No Parking will be in effect the entire length of A Street from Necco Street to West Second Street on both sides for the three primary work days beginning at 6am

If you don't move your car, it will be towed! Please plan accordingly. 

The three days are:

  • Saturday, August 19 - milling work
  • Sunday, August 27 - re-paving work
  • Tuesday, September 19 - 22- re-striping from 7pm to 6am. 

There may be limited parking restrictions in specific work areas during the project. Please keep your eyes out for posted signs.
