Street Cleaning: A Sign of Spring

Binford Street

Street cleaning resumes each spring starting in April and continuing through November on Tuesdays from 9 am until 1 pm on Binford Street and on A Street.

Residents are encouraged to move their cars to allow for Public Works to properly clean our streets. However, under the current Stay At Home advisory, it may be difficult to move your car; therefore, the City is suspending ticketing and towing of cars that do not move for street cleaning. Please note that the Boston Transportation Department will be enforcing all other parking restrictions.

The cleaning of Binford Street covers A Street to the Channel. The odd side of the street (closest to Gillette) will be cleaned on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. The even side (next to the Channelside parking lot) will be cleaned on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.

Street sweepers will also tackle A Street from Binford to Congress on the 1st & 3d Tuesday. They will cross over to the even side of A Street from Melcher to Congress every 2nd & 4th Tuesday.

Everyday street cleaning  occurs on Congress St (Dorchester Ave to E. Service Rd ) and on Sleeper St from 12:01 until 7:00 am.
