Wednesday, September 14: 2nd Public Meeting on Proposed Zoning Amendments of Floor Area and Other Definitions at 6pm – 7:30pm. 

The proposed amendments will update several terms in the definition sections in Articles 2 and 2A, including Filled and Flowed Tidelands, Gross Floor Area, Floor Area Ratio (FAR), and Lot Area. The purpose is to clarify that tidelands/land underwater is not included in lot area and FAR calculations and that above-grade parking structures are included in Gross Floor Area. The first meeting to discuss these amendments was held virtually on July 20, 2022. 

Based on comments received, the proposed text amendment has been modified to better coordinate with Chapter 91 Waterways regulations with respect to piers and wharves.
