A Quick Q&A: Twelve Chairs

The new home furnishings shop and interior design studio, located at 319 A Street, promotes beautiful design that is socially and environmentally responsible.

Q. Who is Twelve Chairs?
A. Twelve Chairs is a home furnishings shop and interior design studio focused on living in style sustainably. It was founded by friends and college classmates, Roisin Giese and Miggy Mason, and named after their 12 interior design studio-mates from Cornell University.

Q. How did you come up with the idea?
A. While working at our retail and design jobs, we both found ourselves aspiring to go out on our own. Lead by both our passion for great design and our social and environmental values, the concept of Twelve Chairs came to be. website's FAQ page. Our interiors services also follow our established guidelines for healthy, responsible design.

Q. In one sentence-describe yourselves?
A. We are passionate, young designers with a love of farmer’s markets, design blogs and chai tea lattes.

Q. Why did you choose Fort Point?
A. From the moment we stepped foot in the neighborhood, we knew we wanted to be here. The sense of community, history, and creativity all resonated with us and we couldn't be happier with our decision.

Q. Have any favorite places in the neighborhood?
A. The Recycle Shop at the Children's Museum, the boardwalk, and too many great restaurants/cafes to count!

Twelve Chairs is open Monday thru Saturday 10AM-6PM and Sunday by appointment.
