Dear Residents and Business Owners,

My name is Kai Quinlan and I am an Assistant Location Manager for the upcoming feature film “TED,” which films in part at a familiar location in your neighborhood on Wednesday, May 18. I wanted to inform you of our upcoming presence and give you an idea of what to expect while we are guests in your neighborhood.

We will be bringing equipment trucks to the signed parking spaces on Seaport Blvd and Boston Wharf Rd, as well as a handful of spaces on A Street, Congress St and Summer St on Tuesday evening, and filming at 355 Congress Street on Wednesday day. Our filming takes place entirely indoors. There will be no road closures and, apart from our parked trucks and equipment, it will largely be business as usual. Please keep an eye out for the permits, which went up today, Friday May 13. We are aware that many of you who live or work in the neighborhood may count on parking in these spaces. Should you arrive at home or work while our trucks are here and find you are unable to park, we will be glad to provide you with a voucher for a nearby parking lot. Please call me directly or ask for “Locations” on set.

We look forward to filming in your neighborhood and will do what we can to minimize the impact of our presence on the area. We are working in close coordination with local officials and will make every effort to transition in and out of your neighborhood with as little disruption as possible. We greatly appreciate your understanding and welcome during our brief time here.

If you have any questions or special concerns, such as moving or construction plans, please contact me directly at 323-360-2580.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding, without which movie making would be impossible.

Sincerely,
Kai Quinlan
Assistant Location Manager
Ted”
