Tomorrow: Boston Tea Party Museum Ship

In honor of the anniversary of the start of the American Revolution on April 19th, the new Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum will welcome the arrival of the historically accurate vessel, the Brig Beaver. She will be returning to the waters where the Boston Tea Party, "the single most important event leading up to the American Revolution" occurred on the night of December 16, 1773. The Beaver is making the voyage from Gloucester where it received complete renovations for the Boston Tea Party Ships SM & Museum. The ship will make the 26 nautical mile journey to Boston and arrive at 8:30am on Thursday, April 19th.


DATE: Thursday, April 19, 2012
TIME: 8:15-8:30 a.m.

LOCATION: Once docked the ship will be rigged and ready for the opening of the museum on June 25, 2012. The ships' voyage into the Fort Point Channel and to the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum can be viewed from the Moakley Court House, the Moakley Bridge, and along both sides of the Fort Point Channel.


The Northern Avenue Bridge will be in the open position on April 19, 2012 between 8:15-8:30 a.m.
